From first call to plan

Nothing here hides in a mysterious queue.

Four stages a patient can follow like a staircase, each one phone-verifiable.

Practical questions are settled at every stage by phone - the way a small practice prefers.

The stages

A plain track with honest timings.

No clock-slot theatre: four steps around assessment and plan.

  1. 01

    Opening contact

A plain conversation about the concern, without registration pressure or paperwork walls.

  2. 02

    The confirmation

Date, room and a short list of what to bring, in writing.

  3. 03

    The visit

History and examination in one unhurried appointment, questions welcome throughout.

  4. 04

    The plan

A written plan, a referral where it is due, and clarity about what happens next.

About the visit itself

Questions answered before the diary opens.

Four cards that stick to process facts, never to proofs of result.

What should you carry to the first visit?

Prior reports in full, a list of current medicines, and glasses if examination is likely.

Can an appointment be arranged for someone else?

Yes - a relative or carer can call. No obligation is attached until the time is fixed.

How is a booking confirmed?

In writing, with the date and the room named. Keep the confirmation for the check-in.

Can I bring a relative or carer?

Always. Say so when booking so the room is arranged for it.

See the room before the visit.

The room is deliberately ordinary: a desk, an examining couch, a lockable record cabinet. Nothing theatrical - that is the point.
